There is a colour 'Witches Promise' from 1970 having been shown on the 'Rock and Roll Years', 'Sounds Of The 70's' and a few times in the early years of TOTP2. More recently it has only been seen as a B&W telerecording which was interesting as it really showed how much of the spirit of the performance was lost between a colour VT and a film recording of the same performance.
If the 'Badfinger' documentary couldn't have got hold of the original 'Come and Get It' then I'm sure that they could have got a copy from 'Sounds Of The 70's' where I think a clean copy of the clip was shown in pretty much its entirity.

Sorry to Disagree with you Clive; but i'm pretty sure that "Come And Get It" wasn't on "Sounds Of The Seventies" I recall just a small clip in colour on "The Rock And Roll Years" 1970 edition. The Badfinger Docu people Really DID try hard at the BBC to locate the colour clip according to Keith Badman. I'm afraid this is something of a Mystery to wether these clips are "Lost" or Not. Messrs Martin & Mulligan at archives insist not. I assure everyone I have spoken to Mark Hagen about this; but I think alll his energies are involved with negotiating with ZDF at the moment which is understandable. Alan Smith.

"Sot70's" did not use "Come and Get it". I have a copy of the clip in colour from a "BBC Enterprises" compilation as used in the USA in the mid-Eighties. The source is obviously the BBC's own recordings. The programme has fairly naff BBC Micro lettering (a-la "The Adventure Game") so if the clip has gone missing it is since 1983/4. Steve |

Hmm, I've got complete clip somewhere which I assumed I must have got from 'Sounds Of The 70's' but I guess not, possibly from early TOTP2 but I'm sure I've had it longer than that...guess I'll have to dig it out to find its origins..

yes thats is sot70s, I thought I had seen it thanks for that, but its a bit worrying that the bbc seemed to have lost the colour clips in the archive again, still they will come accross them eventualy,a big archive and poor catalogue I would think
