Are there any experts out there who can help me with the following?
In 1965 I was a 25-yr. old film editor working on a ITV network Pop series which included film profiles of pop artists such as Tom Jones, Marianne, Faithful, Adam Faith and Dave Clarke. It was the early days of “wild track” so although there are no performances the inserts provide an in depth portrait of the individual Artists. The 16mm inserts are still in my possession (now on Digi- Beta ) the original tapes long since wiped and I would like advice on how to get some interest generated to re transmit some of the material.

isn't it recording / filming in the camera, but only using the audio ?? The actual visuals filmed aren't to be used (so therefore the camera could be pointed at the wall), it's the sound that is important.

for a defenition of wild track ---------------------------------------------------------------- wild track noun a soundtrack recorded other than with a synchronized picture, usually carrying sound effects, random dialogue, etc. from www.wordreference.com---------------------------------------------------------------- in other words just the sound, not tied to any specific action on screen, quite often a backing track or atmospheric, howling wind, bird song, traffic noise etc. or unsyncronised sound recorded on a separate recorder not connected to a camera that is later synchronised to action and diologue, by use of the clapper board, ie synchronise the sound of the "clap" on the tape to the image of the board "clapping" on film , the tape and film will then be synchronised and dialogue will match mouth movements etc
