Does anyone have on the info on the archive holdings for this BBc saturday morning show? This was the spiritual (cough) son of "Zokko!" and featured the same mix of strangeness, music and still-picture / narration cartoons..no, it's real! And I think Ed Stewart might have been involved.

I don't remember this one at all. Is that the right title? I remember Zokko! very well though; are you possibly thinking of Ed & Zed, which was a sort of follow-up? This wasn't Sat morns though I don't think. Do you have any more details on the content?

It looked a lot like "Ed and Zed" and "Zed Shed"-- basically a lot of eclectic visuals strung together, and hosted by Ed Stewart. My main memory is a "cartoon" strip similar to the ones shown on "Zokko!" Still animation, with narration and voice overs. If memory serves, this one was called "Vidor and The Ice Monsters."
"Zokko!" is wonderful! One of the most surreal pieces of kids' TV I've ever seen. What's up the test tubes that keep popping up? Or the musical interludes? Surprised to see that the producer, Pail Ciani, went on to produce TOTP in the late eighties. No test tubes though...
Cheers, Shaun

The series is actually called "Outa Space" and went out between 10/2/73 and 24/3/73. The first three episodes still exist.
