Hello - Thanks for an excellent forum. Some of the information is fascinating. I've seen very little of the Hollies, but I happened to catch a 60's performance of Jennifer Eccles on VH1 recently - but not sure of the origin TOTP?
Is there much surviving TOTP material from the 60's?
Cheers, Dave H

As far as TOTP is concerned, there is Just One Look (1964) and Sorry Suzanne (1969). Also there is He Ain't Heavy from Pop Go The '60s (also '69), which was only weeks after the TOTP appearance of same song. I believe a clip of another song is supposed to reside in an overseas archive (I Can't Let Go?) - forget which offhand. There may be more, who knows?
Questions like this can be answered easily just by checking the TOTP database. With The Hollies, as so little survives of the period, the surviving clips are quick to spot!

I'm sure I've seen a Beat Club performance of "Look through any Window" There's one of those Beat Club DVD EPs with four Hollies tracks on it, unfortunately I can't remember off the top of my head which ones.

How did you get to find out about these? Can you get them anywhere on import in the UK? I've had such a hassle in the past ordering DVDs directly from the States!

I bought mine from www.deepdiscountdvd.comAlthough a word of caution and praise. They were very slow to dispatch my order or it got lost in the post. I complained to them and to be fair, I got all three discs reshipped at no extra charge and received them within about 7 days. I've seen a few people selling them on ebay too. There's a fair few American hits on there as you would expect, but they're worth it for the British acts and the American stuff is a real bonus.

The Rock and Roll The greatest years has at least a couple of Hollies clips.
There's a colour Here I go Again from the 60's pop film of acts introduced by Fluff Freeman and a pop promo to Jennifer Eccles with Allan Clarke groovin' around in a snappy white jacket.
Graham Nash appears before a blackboard in it as well.
I seem to remember there was a clip of them in the Ready Steady Go repeats on channel 4, although the clip itself was not a RGS one.
