Can VidFire improve the picture on a videotape (EG TOTP) that is about 4th generation, can it make it good as new, and correct the bleeding echo's of colour

where can one buy it, and is it available on Mac OS 9/X

no. is the simple answer unfortunatley
vidfire smoothes motion and later versions restore or reconstruct picture 1/2 frames but other techniques would have to be used to improve picture quality. you could try looking for video software there may be something on one of these to enhance the picture. software does exist to improve domestic video images and is used on the DR Who colourised episodes to improve the u-matic tapes so that the colour can be used.
