Thanks for your message in June. I can't speak for everyone but I personally would be very happy to read more of your postings if you ever wish to return regularly or occasionally on the revised forum. I was very interested in reading what you'd found in your travels and I hope you'll return one day, as I'm sure I won't be alone in saying that your contributions are very much valued.
Good luck with your Beach Boys book.

(Shameless plug time) Talking of my book, I'm pleased to say that it is almost complete. Further details soon. Best Wishes & Good Vibrations, Keith Badman

Hi Serendipity, Thank you very much indeed for your kind message. Once I have completed my book on The Beach Boys, I will be happy to post and partake in well meaning discussions on this board. (Shameless plug time) Talking of my book, I'm pleased to say that it is almost complete. Further details soon. Best Wishes & Good Vibrations, Keith Badman Thanks, Keith. It's a pleasure. I'd not heard of you before April when I first contributed to this forum under its original layout but after reading several messages about you, reading your June message and finding out that you are also the music author of Beatles and Small faces books, I got much more acquainted with your work, which should be awarded. You cover a wide spectrum of performers, no doubt more than I already know of and to hear that you've located some rare lost TOTP recordings is wonderful. It was interesting to see fellow named Keith Skues on The Weakest Link last week. I had no idea until about a month ago that he was one of the co-presenters during the two edition 1968 editions or that 1968 had 2 presenters introducing Top of the Pops! I expect you've probably visited the Database - www.bbc.co.uk/totp2 - under "Performance Database" on the left hand panel or under an Artist/Title search on the right hand panel, which takes you to the Advanced Search for more in-depth searches. It needs some editing and is not yet 100% complete but it's an invaluable reference guide for who presented TOTP, on which dates and what is left of the TOTP archive. So many more presenters than I had initially thought who presented the show! I'm thrilled to hear that you've almost completed your book on the Beach Boys. It's a real shame that all their original performances have been wiped from Top of the Pops but I've had the priviledge of hearing Good Vibrations, I Can Hear Music, Darlin', Surfin' USA and several other famous hits, as well as some less known ones which I hope the radio stations will occasionally play, like Wild Honey, Wouldn't It Be Nice? (which my parents tell me was used as an Ariel advert in the 1970s), Bluebirds over the Mountain and Here Comes the Night. I'm sure I heard the latter first time around, as I soon recognised it. Good luck with the remainder of your Beach Boys book and future publications. I look forward to reading more of your discussions at a later date. Best wishes, Serendipity
