Has any of the TOTPS performences of Two Little Boys turned up in Australia? These performences are of strategic importance and should be found, being the last nomber one of the 1960s

good question! ..and what a song for the sixties to go out with :-)
seriously though there must be something left of seven odd performances? . I remember Rolf was very sincere almost crying on these appearances. What made Rolf what he is, you might say . Certain disrespectful members of my family would burst out in hysterical laughter when this was on.

it could have been "sugar sugar" instread of "2 little boys" as the number 1, certainly an odd song, I have seen a performance I think on his show rather than totp where produced a "can you guess what it is" picture and did get a bit emotional I think it was in that program No.1 hits of 69 and he got a bit emotional agin when he was talking about it. The best micky take must have been in an early 1970s edition of "I'm sorry I'll read that again" when they bleeped out certain words to make it sound like a filthy rugby song."did you think I would leave you **** when theres room on my **** for two". and "I'm jake the peg didle idle idle um with my extra *****" still an important song though it was on the 26-12-69 show so if this does exist then you'l have a colour performance. I think all performances where in colour as the first was in the first colour show 27-11-69

From an Australian, I can sadly answer this question as a definite "NO" - an original performance of "Two Little Boys" does not exist on ANY show let alone TOTP!!

Except for UK: Danny Baker's TV Heroes Two Little Boys promo is on that at the end....... I'd also be very surprised if there wasn't a stray performance of it on one of those innumerable carbon copy variety shows of the period like "It's Cilla", "It's Englebert", "It's someone you've never Heard of". And one of Rolf's 1970s kiddie shows will probably turn something up...

there is a "two little boys" performance by rolf on a episode of the rolf harris show from either late 69 or early 70 a clip was on the "no.1 hits of 1969" he sang it after doing a "can you guess what it is yet" picture of 2 little boys with 2 wooden horses its also in colour.

Thanks for all the good speculation everyone, what I meant though was that there is no Australian TV performance that has survived. I'm sure there is a mountain of UK shows that he may have performed this song on, but has any performance actually SURVIVED - I think that is more the point!!
