Didn't know there was a book - ?
The only OOTU telesnaps generally known of are from 'GET OFF MY CLOUD' - 69 and were published in a fanzine c. 1986.

The book has telesnaps for:
s1 the fox and the forest, andover and the android, s2 frankenstein mkII, second childhood, the eye, the fastest draw, too many cooks, walk's end, satisfaction guaranteed, the prophet
and not for s2 the world in silence (2 photos only)
There are no proper telesnaps for series 3 qnd 4
The book has a smattering of photos for series 3 but NO photos for series 4.
If there are telesnaps for Get Off My Cloud then they're not in the book (there's 2 publicity photos)

Yes Ian Levine was once seeking these as he had once seen them at Alan Bromly home when he then had a set for all 13 plays for the third season. These seem to have been lost sadly as no one has been able to locate them

That is a pity about the OOTU telesnaps disappearing like that, bet they will turn up one day, and knowing how recoveries can go, probably from the most unlikely of places. I just saw that someone on wikipedia has uploaded scans for the missing season 2 story "The Prophet" these were taken from the Kalidoscope guide by Mark Ward, which is an expensive buy, but well worth it, as it is jammed packed with info, photos, telesnaps, production notes, as well as cast crew, and creator memories of this classic show. Here is the link to the telesnaps for those who wish to see them: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Out_of_the_UnknownCheers, Lance.

Richard I'm sure we've all lost things to people who never return things. The last thing (of many) I lost was a 1905 edition of "The Diary of Samuel Pepys" - despite receiving assurances of it's return. Which is why I make it a rule never[/b] to loan anything to anyone. I don't mind making them a copy but they never get the original...

In the final issue of DWB (from July 1994), reference was made to images of the "dalek scene" from this episode appearing in a fanzine some years earlier. I've long wondered whether there was any truth in this, and your post is the first supporting evidence I've seen that such a fanzine was published! Do you have any more details on this fanzine? Did you ever see it yourself? Even if the origianl telesnapos have dissapeared, if the fanzine really ddi publish the pictures and even 1 copy survives, theu still exist out there!

I once found a person who had seen the Out of the Unknown episode 'GET OFF MY CLOUD' , who now lives in Australia. Below is his message to me. I hope its of interest to others on this forum!
Thanks for your comments! I will embed some of my own in blue ...

Hi read your review on this! As its missing from the film & video tape libary at the BBC not many people alive today have seen it.
So, what you're saying is, I'm really, really old ... thanks so much :-)
It was made and shown in colour in the UK so I assume you saw a 16mm tele-recording made by BBC tv Enterprices that would have been in Black & White!
I did see it in B&W, but maybe it was shown in color & we only had a B&W telly ... I was ... lets see ... about 14 at the time, so about 35 years ago (gosh .. I AM old, when did this happen lol).
Saying that I have never heard of series three been sold abroad so am pleased to see that it was!
We were living in England at the time. Though born of Aussie parents, my day was working for CocCola & we were over there at the time, so can't comment on sale to O/S.
The daleks from Doctor Who made an appearance at one point I am advised, do you have any memories of this?
Yes indeed, right at the start. The boy had been watching Dr Who, and was dreaming of the Daleks and waking up frightened. His dad gave him a picture of a gun, and told him it would be real in his dreams, which is what he used to drive them off when he went to sleep - and what he used to kill the giant spider when he was grown up, projected into the guy's head, and forced in the end to face his worst fears.
I enjoyed your review, great stuff!!!!
Thank you; as you can probably tell given my fairly vivid memory of the film seen all those years ago, it made quite an impression on me, I thought it was well done, and whimsically amusing as well. I would absolutely love to see it again, but have never seen it available or played anywhere. Still, with today's technology, who knows - such things may become available "on demand" - providing the BBC can find it again!
Regards ~ Robert

TV Zone magazine #100 (circa 1998) had a five page piece with many colour photos of one of the missing sf Out Of The Unknown episodes: Beach Head, starring Ed Bishop! Airdate: January 28th, 1969, BB2. Easily found on ebay or at SilverAcres comic shop. Not telesnaps but some might not be aware of this, an issue can be had as low a two pounds, half the original cover price.
It's possible I have the Doctor Who fanzine with the images of moonlighting Daleks, it rings a bell, but I have even more of those than I do TV Zones. I will try to check that last issue of DWB (#130 I think) which I know I have (someplace) to see if it gives details, but my Wwo zines other than Marvels only go back to about 1986.

So I'm thinking the bell rung for me was just the comment in DWB #130 about something in some magazine 'once upon a time'.

Every person who has ever convinced me "not to be paranoid" about lending something to them and that I can trust them, has either lost or damaged whatever it was.
