What survives of these series? I've seen some clips on various shows about Rolf in recent years and wondering on the archive status ?

Hello Andy, I wish I had more program details for you. However, if you want to can attempt to ask Rolf Harris yourself here: www.rolfharris-shop.com/contact/Cheers, Lance.

I believe ROLF ON SATURDAY exists entirely.
BBC have a good cross section of earlier material.

Just to add - theres another thread here ROLF HARRIS AND COOJEE BEAR you might want to search out.
This has a break down of what the BBC have by Senior Andrew Martin.
To summarise; There seem to be some very grainy and apparently early clips of songs like 'Sun Arise' that look c. 62 - 64.
Theres a segment of a BBC2 'Show of the Week' - 'Rolf Harris at the talk of the town'. This includes 'Jake the Peg' and 'Waltzing Matilda' and only the first 10 mins seem to have been telerecorded for some reason.
Nothing exists of the 1966 Coojee Bear series but I definitely recall the character making later guest appearences with him in other things and have seen a clip of Coojee Bear.
Theres one show from 1967 recovered from abroad where he sings 'Tie me Kangaroo down sport' with the Young Generation.
Theres then a selection from 68 - 69 and 70 - 71 'Rolf Harris show'. Some of the guests are good and the ones featuring Rod McKuen and Lee Hazlewood survive.
A show for Val fans includes him singing 'Ring of Bright Water' and Noel harrison also features in this series doing 'Windmills of your mind'.
No versions - amazingly of TWO LITTLE BOYS from the time exist at the BBC.
Theres a colour VT clip from an unidentified ITV show; and the song is reprised on a dramatic war time location in the BBCs 'A Jubilee of music' c. 1976.

Thanks John
Will search that out - it's amazing so little survives from someone so highly prolific as Rolf was in the sixties and seventies, he's always been a personal favourite of mine and pleased to say a really nice bloke when i met him several years back - a true star!
Anyone know how I could get hold of any of the old shows?

Actually I had some notes I dug out the other day.
Re: BBC.
Show of the week (Talk of the Town) 1966. - This was possibly one of the shows transmitted directly from stage performance; as its appears it was only partially recorded.
Andrew Martin said there was about 10 mins of it; notes suggest theres a segement from the start titles then a jump to the end. Whatever the material is a nice boost to the Rolf archive.
ROLF HARRIS SHOW - 2 held 1967; 3 (1968); 8 (1969); 2 (1970); 2 (1971).
I suspect these are B/W T- Rs and that post 71 Harris material survives on VT. (Bar 'Jubilee in music' 1976 in which his material is colour film).
In addition; his 'Disney times' also exist on colour VT.
'Rolf on Saturday' is quite late I think 75 - 77 and exists I think complete on colour VT.

I also am now aware that a colour clip from the 1970 sereis; a duet with Tom Paxton exists on colour VT. This is on 'ASK ASPEL'.
