Hoping Andrew Martin will read this. - Somebody enquired a number of years ago after a Benny Hill show recalled which included a filmed insert in which TV sets come to life. Adam Lee said that (at that time) 14 shows existed but the sketch described didn't.
In later years I realised the sketch may never have actually appeared in Bennys BBC shows. As it almost definitely originated around 1966 -68, according to the records everything from the BBC is held bar 3 shows, I think. Of those the film inserts for 2 exist. This leaves a narrow margin for the loss of the sketch.
I seem to think its likely that the item was actually part of an ATV one off Benny Hill show made in 1967, (clips of which appeared in 'The unforgettable Benny Hill'
