I found this on a reel to reel tape. It's a 1970s episode, and features a Raymond Glenn who murdered a Mike Wiley. That's the basic plot. One character gives his d.o.b. as 1951 and says he's a student, so that might make it more like 1970. There's also a character called Inge Carlsson.
On the same reel is a clip from a Cilla Black TV show with guest Dick Emery, then the film 'Arabeque'. Obviously, all these are soundtracks only!
I'd be very appreciative of anyone who has the knowledge, patience or dedication to tell me which episode of DODG this is.
Many thanks, Richard.

Dick Emery appeared on the 16 February 1974 edition of Cilla, which still exists in the archive, but the Dixon of Dock Green shown that night entitled There's Your Story: There's My Story - And There's The Truth is indeed missing.
If someone has the respective Radio Times for February 1974, I'm sure they can confirm if it's the right episode.

Could you possible listen to what Jack Warner says at the start and put it in a message/ post? That way anyone with access to the BBC Written archive might stand a good chance at working out what this is assuming it can be traced to a decade since the series ran from 1955 ~ 1976

Richard That is indeed the episode - David Griffin played Mike Wylie, Neville Aurelius played Ray Glenn, and Beth Morris was Inga Karllson.

Thanks to all who have helped solve the mystery! A good bit of detective work, Watson! So, 'Dixon of Dock Green' 16/2/74 (audio only, sadly) is now officially found! Wonder if the BBC would bung it on as an extra for a DVD release of the series like they did for 'Adam Adamant'?

Since there are only 30 complete surviving episodes plus a handful of sequences and excerpts, it's not impossible.

Its such a shame that only 30 complete surviving episodes plus a handful of sequences and excerpts have been retained in the archives when the series run for as long as it did.
Are there any massive issues stopping the remaining episodes been released on DVD at all?
