Reading the thread about "24 Hours/Midweek/Tonight" reminded me; because I have always collected recordings of space flights, I made an audio recording (very good quality) of "Midweek" on Tuesday 25th September 1973 - the second crew of Skylab astronauts splashed down that evening, and James Burke was in the Midweek studio to cover the event live. Also featured (from memory) was an item about the increasingly desperate position of U.S. Vice-President Spiro Agnew (he resigned the following month), and there were some striking car workers in the studio interviewed by Vincent Hanna. Although it's audio only, the programme is complete, including BBC announcement at the start. Do you think the BBC would be interested in a tape of this?
Colin.

Sorry - this should be in the general section, shouldn't it?

Hi Colin
I've just read your posting about Midweek" on Tuesday 25th September 1973... i would have thought that perhaps that the BBC wouldn't have kept the original programme as the intrest in the space programme was on the wane by then... but you could always contact them to see if they would be interested... the worst they could say is no...
Just out of curiosity what else did you record or do you have in your collection because the space programmer as been one of my interests if you want you can drop me a line at my e-mail address
Thanks John
