I've mentioned this on the Mausoleum Club and a jazz forum I frequent in the hope of finding potential consortium members. If the current high bidder is here and intends to return the films to Windmill Road, let me know and I'll back off.

OK, the latest is that there is a consortium bidding, and that they would welcome further members to spread the cost and allow headroom for a slightly higher top bid than is currently possible. Let's keep these shows where they have a reasonable chance of being seen at some point.

Hi people
Quote:
"I am quite aware of the masonic type world of smoke and mirrors of film collecting thank you . Chris Perry comes here sometimes with a little tease about something then (usually ignoring responses to said item)disappears for weeks . Yesterday he suddenly comes back and says " please bid" . In other words he was not prepared to mention it here in the early stages but now wants everybody to drop tools and open their wallets.
Suddenly we are people again eh?"
I'm very sorry if I give the impression of being a Macbeth-type stalker wandering around the internet. The simple truth is that I've moved house, have no internet at home and haven't had for quite a while and only read a few message boards before my boss gets in at 8am in the morning.
Generally I don't spend hours surfing the net so sometimes I do pop in and add the odd word of help but very often that is as much as I know.
In some cases I do know a lot more, I do have a database of over half a million items that Kaleidoscope has built up, and a viewing archive of over 20,000 VHS tapes given to us over the years, but I aint got the time to watch em all or read it all. Generally, the time I could spend answering queries could be better spent leading a normal life as a Deputy Headteacher, Kaleidoscope researcher and husband.
So I'm sorry if I seem to dip in and out being mysterious, because it's not deliberate, I'm just very busy.
As for Jazz 625, I did not post earlier because I didn't want to attract rival bidders against me, pure common sense. There are many honourable people on this site, but I'm sure some people read it and then go off to bid against us, just for the thrill of owning stuff that nobody else does.
Hope that helps.
c

Hi people I'm very sorry if I give the impression of being a Macbeth-type stalker wandering around the internet. c More is thy due than more than all can pay. Macbeth, 1. 4 Absolutely! If it were not for the work of Christopher Perry and the Kaleidoscope group, the archives would not have the great television finds, which have been the hallmark of his work. Yours,
