Please do not bid against the bidder. They have a machine that can play the tapes and will return anything they may contain, as he has done so for quite some time, and returned any gems that are uncovered that were missing. Placing a further bid will only inflate the price, so please do us all a small favor and withhold bidding. Thank you for your understanding.
Lance.

Mmmhh!
Would you be prepred to part with your hard earned cash for an item you knew little about?
The least this guy could do is look through the tapes and offer a description.
Maybe he has, realises it's gunk and is out to make a quick buck!

Well, yes that is a possibility, but its also a possibility that theres something of interest there. So if someone has the spare money, leave em to it

Because,
As I previously stated he already has a machine capable of playing these reels. Thus, he really does not need to buy this VTR, however it looks to be in good condition for its age. Should be a worthwhile purchase for whoever is prepared to pay 125GBP/250 USD + shipping for a very heavy machine.

I agree with Lance. I wasn't ever going to bid, but wanted to raise awareness. Glad it's in hand!

Because, As I previously stated he already has a machine capable of playing these reels. I don't think he does, Lance! That's why he has to travel half way down the country to get them played! Richard

He has audio capacity to listen to the recordings at first, then will travel to get the contents played there after learning what they contain, which is very nice of him indeed to travel that far for this. So, the tapes can be played upon receiving. As always this effort is to be commended. Many Thanks ! Lance.

Hi Richard, yup the EIAJ lead , but they also have a connector like one of the new AV type (after you fit the adaptor plug onto it) but as i say, i aint got a flippin clue what im doing, but im having fun doing it. (but i am very carefull as to not damage the tape, just before anyone says anything)
