Hello All,
I recently purchased a lot of 8mm reels from a UK ebay seller. I had asked him what was on these, he said he had no time to look and was selling as unknown film for splicing or filler. I found one reel marked on one side as Bramhope Show 1971 ( Bramnam show labeled on the other side ). I have no clue as to what this may be from, if it is indeed from TV. Still have to look at the other 5 reels (6 in all ).
If anyone has any info regarding this label or series, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks Again, Lance.

I reckon you have super 8 footage of a horse show.

8mm films are almost certainly either home movies, or comemrcial films made for home use. Very very unlikely that you're going to find any TV shows unless someone decided to point a film camera at a TV screen. Which is rare, and also would look dire...

Here is something that will cheer you up then:
I have just received a 8mm reel of footage taken off a TV. This is footage from The Benny Hill Show. The footage is in color, and looks to be in excellent condition. I received this item from a private collector of 8mm and 16mm films. The (6) 8mm reels I mentioned earlier were on very small Yellow Kodak brand reels ( tape stock is Kodak as well ), the Benny Hill TV footage reel is on a larger standard looking red plastic 8mm reel. As instances of 8mm recording off the TV are rare, might the chances this is from a missing edition be either good or bad do you think ?
This item was said by the collector to be wrongly placed in a Benny Hill Walton case, but upon viewing the reel was discovered to of been taken off a TV by what appears to be a wealthy Benny Hill fan. As film was still expensive back then to use, which is all he stated on this item. He also stated he did not have any other footage like this, unfortunately.
I have a friend who has an excellent 8mm projector, fully serviced Am hoping this is something that will delight Benny Hill fans. Any info or input anyone could lend would be much appreciated as always.
Cheers, Lance.

Here Is what I have labeled on the remaining reels:
Moving In Hedes 1969 Tinelm Bramhope Show 1971 Scotland ( half a film ) 25 ft 1974 Tropins Wirral Race 1978 Cornwall and Valerie
The last had no label, upon looking at the first few feet looks to be footage taken at an airport 1960's era looking.
As well as the fore mentioned off tv Super 8mm recording of Benny Hill, on color stock film.Might there be any possibility this footage is from a missing edition ?
Might any of this sound interresting ?
Lance.
