Phoenix Media (http://www.phoenixmedia.co.uk) are working on the extras. I'd urge everyone to drop them a line at info@phoenixmedia.co.uk and express interest. Let them know there's a demand/fanbase out there.
One item which definitely has to be included is the fabled bloopers reel. I implore everyone to mention this specifically - it's such a rare bit of footage, and it would be fantastic to liberate it.

I may have mentioned this before but I can name a few things: * three documentaries (2 on the US dvd and 1 'comedy connections' episode) * 2 trailers (one for each season) * living doll music video and this news item... www.youtube.com/watch?v=aL1nGIlT3KU* living doll live version with Bob Geldof (once released on tape, but possibly unreleased material still survives as well??) * raw material from Nasty and Cash

The Living Doll live version with Bob Geldof still exists in the BBC archives, or at least it did in 1997 when they re-broadcast highlights of the inaugural (1986) Comic Relief concert. I'm pretty sure that's where that performance came from.

Perhaps Andrew can tell us what footage the BBC has? The second-hand information I read said that there were three shows only one of which was with Bob Geldof.
If it weren't for Andrew, we would have a lot more unanswered questions anyway.

The second-hand information I read said that there were three shows only one of which was with Bob Geldof. I actually attended one of the live shows and Bob Geldof appeared with the Young Ones on that day. I remember when the Comic Relief Video was released of the three shows (edited to one) it first appeared with Cliff and the Young Ones but was withdrawn after Cliff had complained or something, and was then released with Geldof's appearance. Incidently, while I was waiting outside the theatre, I remember Ade Edmonson as Viviyen being filmed running out of the theatre into the BBC Outside Broadcast truck and setting off an explosion in it... .but as far as I know this never appeared either on the TV version or the VHS video. Could still be in the archives...?

You mean the "utterly rude" tape, no?

So, the first batch of VHS tapes in stores would have had Cliff, but these were quickly replaced with Bob? But it's possible the Cliff version is still out there somewhere?

Yes- I'm sure my copy has Cliff and the Young Ones as I bought it early on having been to the show, but all the later copies had Bob Geldof. 99% sure of this, but it was a long time ago now!

Of course, it takes a few minutes before they recognise it's Bob, but you could be right. Please check the PM I sent you.
