Hi,
Can anyone tell me when Raiders is due back onair..? last i heard it SHOULD have aired all 4 epps months ago after the (few) weeks off when epp 1 was due for a repeat..
So its canned then..
can anyone here smuggle offline copes of the other three epps out ?!!!

Probably a good thing it was canned. It was awful. Little really of interest, much of what was shown was not technically "missing", just little seen (there were plenty of clips of "celebrities" before they were well known for a start) and footage cropped to 16:9 and filmised (like the TISWAS clips), presumably to enhance the "wasn't old TV such crap and poor quality" attitude that's around these days. They'd have to have done some serious re-editing to get that show up to a decent standard.

However, it is the initiative that counts. They got the message mainstream that they were looking for lost program's, and had some success to boot. I think it is this initiative that will reach much farther than the actual program. As a result of this TV series, we have renewed public interest in lost TV. True it sounds like the footage presented could of been better, as this sounds like a diss on vintage TV. Much of this Neo- TV cant hold a candle to the simplicity, and effectiveness, and overall appeal of vintage TV programing. Not to say there are not some good new TV stuff out there, made my point.
I am more interested in what exactly was uncovered by Raiders ? I have heard of some program's from an news article posted a while back, but nothing really that specific. Any info would be much appreciated as always.

Things have gone very quiet, but we are still restricted as to what we can say until the shows go out.
We also can't go ahead and arrange our Raiders event yet until the shows air, but I am promised they are coming.
The hard part is - how do you film a show where you have to find missing material first before you can film new material? As we all know, finding missing material is not that easy. :-)
