Maybe somebody could help me with this here. As i understand it this is the episode that Toby wren dies in when trying to disable the nuclear bombs. The episode is listed as missing but i am sure i saw clips from this episode on the cult of doomwatch screened on BBC4 recently!! am i going mad!!!???

No youre not going mad. Toby Wrens death scene was reprised at the start of the following story, the series two opener "You Killed Toby Wren". Therefore that section is all that has survived of "Survival Code".

I have also seen the effects footage from Survival Code is present on the Doctor Who Inferno DVD set. It was part of a BBC effects film they made. Some great model sequences and effects. There are also some neat clips from Caves of Steel incidentally.

I watched it at the time and can say it was one of the best episodes (along with Friday's Child, also missing) - very tense drama.
