A bit off topic, but I think of possible interest and certainly a piece of missing TV, in the sense it wasn't recorded as far as we know. I wrote a lengthy article on the 1928 Transatlantic Television broadcasts for my blog this week: lost-british-television.blogspot.com/It isn't that a well known even, surprisingly and the reason I mention and explain it in detail as it has started to fade away in historic memory. There are some extracts from New York papers, who thrilled at seeing a living face from London, 79 years ago! Andy.

hmmmm, the very early years of television are pretty interesting if somewhat obscure. Wouldnt it be great if somehow the first BBC broadcast had been preserved? It would be a real historic document. I was thinking the other day, with satelite tv and so forth, wouldnt it be amazing if it was possible to have the transmissions from the past relayed to the future so you could have complete daily broadcasts of bbc from any given year as it was broadcast, on different chanels, so you could tune into 1952 or something and watch a complete evenings viewing as it was. It is obviously completely impossible, but it would be well cool to pick a year and see all the continuity bits and everything. And then we could all find something else to do and shut this bulletin board down
