Back in the early 70s there was a kids quiz called 'Anything You Can Do' which was presented by Chris Kelly and Ed Stewpot Stewart (not at the same time !). Does any of this still exist and does anyone remember the fantastic theme tune? Would love to see & hear it again !

At least one episode exists as I saw this at a Kaleidoscope screening a few years ago. I believe it was made by Yorkshire (?) which means the chances of it surviving in full are very good. I´m sure someone here can say for certain though.

Thanks Laurence. Good to know that its still out there in some way. Is there any way a copy could be purchased , or are these rare examples unavailable to the general public ? Thanks again.

You could try contacting YTV but as they are now part of the larger Granada / ITV archive, they probably aren´t as accommodating as in the past when programmes could be purchased as viewing copies (and probably not cheaply, if at all). It´s one of the most annoying and frustrating aspects of being an archive TV fan! Sorry this reply isn´t more optimistic.

Thanks again , Laurence. I will give Granada a try. As for the frustration - I can feel it slowly working its way through my body already !! Cheers, Parkes

All I was going to query was if you know whether the material shown was tape or B+W T/R which might be a pointer as to its greater en masse survival. I also wonder if it was the Ed 'Stewpot' Stewart ones I recall or Chris ('Clapperboard') Kelly.

Hi John, Personally I remember Chris Kelly as presenter. I was actually surprised to find Ed Stewart had ever hosted the show. Do you know who was the first of the two to do it ? Parkes

Ed stewart hosted it in 1971 i thought. Didn't know that but I recall him better than Chris Kelly. One assumes as this is the later period its more likely to survive of the two.

The episode I saw was colour VT and hosted by Ed Stewart.
