OK guys, ok. When I posted originally thought I would get some encouragement in this. But there has been so much negative reaction that the next time I think I'll post on here, I just won't. And if I DO get in touch with KBC, whatever the results, I certainly won't be posting it on here. Oh, and I object to being given called a 'tourist'. I didn't say anything earlier, but what went through my mind is that in the position you are in, you'd be the best person to actually poke your nose in! Seems a long shot, but what else do you have? I think that we've seen from many, many, many comments here over the years, that there's a lot of people here, whose ability to parse context is ... let us say poor. Good luck!

And if I DO get in touch with KBC, whatever the results, I certainly won't be posting it on here. Oh, and I object to being given called a 'tourist'. You should definitely go Gary, and best of luck to you. Let's face it, there have been numerous official approaches and these leads have dried up. If there are sensitive negotiations going on, there's no real precedent of harming these, and since you've signposted here I'm sure someone will message you if there is. The fact is, some fans well connected to archives haven't approached them in the past, and we've also not seen much returned from them for years now. Tomb was a fluke, and Web3 was lost because of loose lips. It's also impossible to know how many prints simply rotted or were discarded. So when all these factors are weighed up, and we consider the age of these prints, it sounds like we're racing against time and the elements, along with general apathy. I think if anyone has archive contacts and can use a gentle approach they should be more than encouraged at this stage. Strategies need to change over time, and time is a critical factor.

Go for it please & ignore the nay sayers.

Do take care of yourself, though.
I'm sure you know more about what's happening out there than we do, but the UK and the US are issuing warnings about Kenya (https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/kenya).

It was suggested in some discussions that took place a while ago, perhaps to cover up the fact that he had put WoF 3 "to one side" in the first place. I don't see any sense in it either, so I doubt he did it. Richard Well that IS what apparently happened to a bunch of stolen paintings by Monet and others, see e.g.: www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-23349744It's all off-topic but there is even less evidence that PM himself would have souvenired the episode. Without evidence, that's more fantasy than theory.

OMG! They're calling it a crime against humanity! I would actually believe that if the station manager took the episode home then it's entirely possible that his mother might burn it in similar circumstances. I mean, you know, mothers! I remember how mine threw away a perfectly nice shirt I used to live in just because she said it was full of holes :-( It's all off-topic but there is even less evidence that PM himself would have souvenired the episode. Without evidence, that's more fantasy than theory. I agree.
