Rod Stewart / The Faces Maggie May Top of the pops 1971

Hiya,

Haven't posted here in ages !

A few weeks back while flicking down Facebook, I came across a Clip of Rod & Faces performing MM , TOTP 1971, (NOT the normal one we all know)

It was in Black & white but was in FULL, i had previously seen a snippet of this new find a few years back , but here it was in full,

The clip wasn't on Youtube , I immediately joined the group , of which since I cannot find on my FB group list ?

Has anybody else on here since since this rare clip in full ?

The vid quality isn't that great , Audio bit muffled, but the performance is brilliant,

It's a great live vocal performance, Rod actually breaks down and starts laughing through one on the verses, surprised it wasn't stopped and re filmed (1971, and all that) !!!

Great vocals , you can easily hear the different melodies he sings around the famous chords we all love and know,


Such a shame all these priceless performances were all etc.....

Easy enough to find on FB still (by searching on the entirely obvious keywords), although I don't think I'd be thanked for linking to it here directly given forum rules.

It appears to be the same clip shown at the Kaleidoscope event a couple of years ago (I wonder if that means the other TOTP clips from the same source shown that day are out there too, as there were about an hour of them in total originally. Although interrupted by a fire alarm halfway through as I recall!)
