I remembered Evil better, so I guess that one. I think it must have been the variety of settings in time and space. Funnily enough, although I didn't at the time, I now live just down the road from Grim's Dyke. Now that's what we call destiny of the Daleks.

I’m not sure there’s much new here. iirc both PM and PV are on record saying that they’re aware of DW MEs held by collectors, and then there’s WoF3. However, we’ve never had any indication as to what these are and, as importantly, whether they’ve verified that they are, indeed, MEs. Anyone can claim to have TP4, missing parts of the Crusade, Space Pirates, etc, etc but unless someone we all trust has satisfied themselves that’s what claimed actually exist they could well be another Darren Gregory. Didn't Phillip and Paul say that the collectors have been placed in contact with the people running Film is Fabulous?

Hopefully they'll be bringing their films along to the next event. When is it?

I remembered Evil better, so I guess that one. I think it must have been the variety of settings in time and space. Funnily enough, although I didn't at the time, I now live just down the road from Grim's Dyke. Evil for me too, perhaps because I saw it twice. Power however had some iconic images, the conveyor belt sequence as a petrified Lesterton looked on, the `dead` Daleks in the capsule which you expected to come to life at any second and of course the Daleks spilling out of the capsule to `Conquer and Destroy.` The early Daleks always had an air of mystery about them which they lost from the Pertwee era onwards. `The Mysterious Daleks` it said on the box of my Marx toy and that is how I thought of them. Quite often they were silent gliding around as their eyestalks or suckers moved more than in later years when they just seemed to hang there. The Emperor Dalek would take a bit of beating as would of course the battle of whites vs blacks with all that gunge spilling out once exterminated. I can still see Troughton in his checked trousers with Polly and Ben before leaving them to enter the capsule only to be escorted out by two gunless Daleks, a Dalek eyestalk doing a 360' turn in the laboratory, the Dalek eyestalk moving at the end of Power 6 after the travelers have departed, Victoria being escorted down a corridor sandwiched between two silent Daleks and the wobble effect as what seemed like dozens of white Daleks passed through the arch impregnating them with the Human Factor.

The BBC managed to keep quiet how exactly the Daleks were operated, until a photo leaked of a couple of operators sitting in the bases smoking during a rehearsal break, which I imagine took away much of the mystique!

But you made an unsourced subtle crazy claim on this thread earlier, with your "didn't so and so say". I fell for it and you got my hopes up in the process. Now you've been pulled up by another poster for it, you're making it even worse for yourself by creating another crazy claim about the DW ME page on Wikipedia, pointing the finger of blame at imaginary others instead of being accountable for your own actions on here.

Some good people are out there looking for MEs. If they’re successful we’ll hear about it. It’ll happen when, or if, it happens.

Ah, Darren Gregory! Now there’s a name from the past! Is he still about? I loved Greg H’s signature line of “I smell Darren Gregory ……….” I see Greg hasn’t posted in several years - I do hope he’s ok. Always brought something wry to any discussion. Yeah, a really nice guy with a quick, dry sense of humour. Haven’t spoken to him in a while, will maybe drop him a PM

While Wikipedia is a very useful resource, it is open for anyone to change. Simple rule is don't use Wikipedia as your primary source for anything without checking its veracity elsewhere first.

Stop attacking me, you Levine fan. I'm not purposely misleading anyone, just stating what people say online and what some pages say.

For once I will defend Angel as he had a question mark at the end of his post therefore not stating it as gospel. You might even argue he was asking a question which Richard answered and corrected him on. John, you wrongly took this as a statement of fact. An ill thought out post nonetheless which has has been deleted (but preserved in responses) by the OP.
