Sorry folks, had to amend thread title to enable us to incorporate the following ... J oe Brown hosted a Radio 2 Documentary called Buddy In Britain, which is available to listen to in 3 parts on Youtube as BBC Radio 2 Documentary Buddy In Britain Buddy Holly, Jerry Allison and Joe B. Mauldin endured a 14 hour propellar-driven flight from New York to London arriving at 4 pm Friday 28 March 1958. The plane was late arriving and they had to rush to Wembley Studios for the Associated-Rediffusion television programme Cool For Cats. Kent Walton the compere/host of Cool For Cats says usually the programme went out from Studio 2, for some reason on this occasion it went out from Studio 1. Joe Brown says they mimed to I'm Gonna Love You Too, which was released that same day in the UK. Sunday 2 March 1958 ATV

TV Pop Diaries says ' cancelled as a fee couldn't be agreed.' Joe continues... The telerecording of this went missing in March 1960, then Joe played the surviving audio, as above.

from i gather the telerecording was held at the BBC until 1960...when it was then binned...a few years back the complete audio was found from the original source...
