The Film is Fabulous! initiative has many benefits for film collectors, not least preventing collections ending up in landfill. But a side benefit is the recovery of film and television titles once thought lost.
Back in October, we announced the recovery of some missing film and television titles, copies of which have been returned to the rights holders. This coming weekend, Saturday June 1st sees some of these titles screened publicly for the first time in the UK since the early 1970's.
The event is at The Courtyard in Hereford with screenings from 2pm followed by a panel discussion with film collectors, hosted by Sue Malden.
