This was a syndicated special that aired on all Metromedia owned TV stations in America in February, 1970.... here's a clip of Davy Jones from that special.

Just as a side note, for those in the UK and Europe who arne't familiar, the Metromedia televsion stations in the US had the GROOVIEST little station ID bumpers in the early 70's.
