From an old reel to reel audio tape, 23 mins. of Tarbuck hosting. Guests include Davy Kaye, Paul and Barry Ryan and Dusty (only Ryans seem to have been taped on bit I have).
There's also a 15 min. chunk from what I take to be another show with Bob Monkhouse introduced.
Just wondered if anyone could help me date these, please? I have Googled, but not found much bar Tarby's stint as host, which was apparently circa. 1965-67.
Thanks, Richard.

The brothers were also on an episode broadcast 31 October 1965 which by an archiving miracle still survives. As to your Bob Monkhouse episode, well assuming it's not one of the ones he hosted in the early run circa 1955 then it could be one of these: 2 October 1966 (with Tom Jones and Morcambe and Wise) 5 March 1967 (with Paul Anka and Englebert Humperdinck) 12 March 1967 (with Trini Lopez and Francoise Hardy) 9 April 1967 (with Freddie and the Dreamers and The Bachelors) 21 May 1967 (with Cilla Black and Ray Fell) There could of course be other ones as well!

Yes, that was one of the colour ones for America. They did six around September to November 1966 after a pilot one in March. As far as I know the only one to exist is the March one hosted by Jimmy Tarbuck with Roy Orbison. I think that the 20 March 1966 is the last one that exists with no surviving episodes from the rest of 1966 or 67, 68 or 69. There were regular broadcasts until May 1967 and then iregular ones into 1969. On 19 January 1969 Judy Garland appeared on the show which was a really big deal at the time and one of the last things she did. The one I'd like to see though is the Rolling Stones from 22 January 1967!

Wouldn't we all! There is an off-air soundtrack that has been circulating out there since the '70s as a bootleg though.
