Interesting podcast and I stumbled upon the episode as well .. was actually not too bad I thought.. as you said definitely showing promise

If that's the 1st generation version then it's really good, so imagine what it would be like once it's had chance to evolve.

The main thihng that mn=meakes it look odd is the 100% black showing for the insides of mouths when people speak. If that could be cured it would be much less jarring (to me at least).

I agree teeth is a valid comment. Probably would take more advancement but a good area to focus. While mouths generally are dark, it does appear teeth in some scenes When we compare ai to an original, it will always fall short. With animation, we don't expect as much . Movies, like Indiana Jones, include either the actor, or similar actor, then the image superimposed. m.youtube.com/watch?v=MKc6A9UMi9oThis sounds and looks like Walt, but the mannerisms are too modern. Depending how much footage was done on Tom recorded during the shada animation, that perhaps could be deep faked. I'm impressed where we are, and hopefully it continues advancing.
