Thought to be wiped I believe. The short clip posted on the official Lennon Twittex page looks wonderful. Any info?

The Lennons always requested a copy of whatever show they appeared on. IIRC, in the Tony Cox home videos, Cox shot John on the phone arranging for the Simon Dee tape to be acquired.

This looks like a domestic off-air (it was broadcast in colour). If it was the Lennon's own copy it would be odd for them to hold on to it for so long without utilising a clip here and there in the numerous documentaries Yoko has overseen, though perhaps the picture quality was an issue. I have the full audio but it is amazing to see this after 54 years. I wonder if George Lazenby's spot was recorded as well (same edition IIRC), apparently it was his rant about the Kennedy assassination that was at least partially responsible for Dee being axed.

And yet it's the sort of thing that happens now and then. Who knows if it was catalogued (at all or how thoroughly).
