I noticed that 'Christmas Hits' edition is on the BBC on 22nd Dec. A fairly disappointing edition in my view though with some great music; Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Stones '2000 Light Years From Home' (though the actual Christmas link is lost on me; the Christmas star perhaps?), Madness 'Our House'. There were other TOTP 2 christmas specials shown but this is the one that always seems to get a repeat.
It would be great to see a compilation of some more BBC Christmas music clips. Apparently Alvin Stardust appeared on 'Keith Harris Christmas Show', I'm assuming in 1984, performing his never played classic 'So Near To Christmas'. That would be a treat to see, not on YouTube though a 'Top Pop' clip has appeared.
Also anything from 'A Country Christmas' with Pentangle (25/12/70) and Dina Carroll singing 'The Perfect Year' on 'A Song For Christmas' (23/12/94). Saw it at the time. She was a judge also. A Precious memory. Also 'Merry Xmas Everybody' from TOTP 20/12/73. Anyone else have any wished for Christmas BBC clips?
