OK, cheers, Chris. Let us know here of the results of your findings with Apple. I've been keen to know what the situation is with this stuff for ages!

I wish you luck, Chris, in getting ANY information about ANYTHING from Apple. Bear in mind that they have a new Beatles album to promote, so may be even less likely to reply to any contact at the moment.

Just an idea here. Apple will not emply Anybody full time in it's prodution facilities and will work almost exclusivly with freelancers (Not enough work for more than a hand full of employees i would guess)
So my point is - have a look at the credits of Anthology - in the research sections are there any names anybody recognises? or even anyone somone is even in contact with - that i think would be your first port of call.
Apple are VERY protective of their archives who knows what they have.
(a sad aside here - Did you know that from as soon as he could manage it Ringo kept a copy of every Beatles TV appearence (including Juke Box Jury apparently) that he could and this archive was distroyed in the 70's in a house fire ARRRRRGHHH!)
Having said that - someone should point ITV in this direction maybe they would have more luck than an individual!

One thing on the Kaleidoscope database says is missing, I have been told exists in the BFI archive. This is the episode of This Is Tom Jones Featuring Matt Monro (he only recorded one according to Michele's records) and she has been in contact with the BFI who have told her that they have a copy of this show!
No critisism just what we've been told.
Not that we've seen it. The BFI would only let her get a copy if permission was obtained from ITC - who she cannot get to answer any correspondance!
Who for goodness sake can she speak to! Does anybody know?

Hi Richard
Many thanks for this info. The issue with Tom Jones is complicated, because Tom owns all the rights to his own material and has removed all Tom Jones stuff from the Perivale ATV archive. He has his own archive now.
I will check the BFI tape for you and it's goof news.
Thanks mate.
