Mark Evanier www.newsfromme.com/ has forwarded this link to the opening sequences of eighteen short-lived situation comedies of the seventies, one of which was Miss Winslow and Son. I hadn't even realised that there'd been an American version of the UK's Miss Jones and Son (starring Paula Wilcox). Here's the first 21 minutes of the first episode of the US show www.youtube.com/watch?v=azCqZS4r5GE which is the only one whih seems to be on Youtube.

Another one for the list.
At some point I started making a list of re-made British programs. (I suspect it was maybe boredom that made me do it?) The US is clearly in the lead with 32 remakes (including attempts-only).

There are plenty of shows I never realised were remakes, oddly Blankerty Blank was based on the Australian version of the Original American show The Match Game. Supposedly Terry Wogan was unimpressed by the Australian show but thought the American one was better & was his reason to became host of Blankerty Blank.
