One of the 'holy grails' of new wave and punk on TV.... and some of it has turned up.... Here is a part of the Rich Kids performing on Magpie. I haven't got the date of this yet, but I know it's a wiped episode as some of us have been looking for this for years. My guess is February or March 1978. I'll be close that's for sure, 2/3 are wiped and a lot of folk have been looking for this. Only uploaded a few weeks back and 205 views. It doesn't have the famous interview, but hell, this is my personal favourite discovery of the year. I'm happy now. www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzYcNsh26t0I thought this deserved a thread of its' own.

I remember watching that on original TX - Magpie was always more "left field" than Blue Peter, who pretended Punk / New Wave did not exist.

Those hard core punks The Barron Knights even had a song about Shep!

Doubtless, the punk version of Old Shep starts
"Old Shep was a bitch...".
