It seems to me that our best hope of finding the Space Pirates is to find out what happened to the 3 stories (Seeds, Pirates, Games) sent to Zambia in 1976. Perhaps PM knows and will tell us in due course, let's hope so... Philip Morris went to Zambia in 2008 and confirmed that they no longer contain any BBC content. So now that we'll has dried up. Let's hope that the rumors of Episodes 4-6 in a private collection are true.

I've heard some people that love the Krotons Don’t worry Michael, they’ve all since been recaptured. Agree about The Dominators though as, despite being another much maligned story I’ve always enjoyed it. The Quarks may be poorly realised (they were meant to be the next Daleks for goodness sake!) but the ongoing battle between Rago and Toba is certainly one of the serial’s highlights. Also, at risk of turning this innocuous thread unwelcomely political, Dominators’ underlying ‘message’ is arguably laudable too and quite bold considering the seismic cultural shifts taking place in Britain (and indeed the West in general) at the time… Yeahd dominators has some interesting ideas and the main crew and the two Dominators make it fun to watch. I never felt bored at least.

I've only read the Krotons novel, which was good if not outstanding. Robert Holmes originally wrote it to be made as an instalment of Out Of The Unknown from what I remember.
The Kroton design often gets dismissed, but I've always thought they looked like Art Deco petrol pumps!
