(reposting this original from Jake as his thread title was uninformative) How was it not informative? Also you do delete threads then? In the Private message you said you don’t delete any threads even if I ask for you to delete my thread? Hmm interesting

Life's too short - that's Jake banned. 80 odd posts and about half of them pointless, argumentative or ill mannered.
(first person I've had to ban in what must be about a decade modding on here).

I think considering its a first pass, its actually no worse than some of the animations, and as such likely has great future potential!! Obviously the more snaps the better, plus some AI from existing episodes to fill out the main characters. A few years maybe, but with the rate of technology i can see something viable from this.

Ai could definitely revolutionize recons as we know them.
Hopefully. With the advance in technology the next generation can add movement When none existed previously
Another idea is, to take the bf stories and replace voices of dead actors through ai.

Jake was coming accross a bit like a kid with a new toy. Presumably having recently discovered this forum he seemed to want to post and start threads on a more than daily basis - and some of them pointless. More often than not in the wrong section too. A bit of an attention seeker, perhaps overeager to get himself known on the forum although he certainly succeeded there. Harmless of course and he could be ignored but for me he was starting to become a bit of an irritant. Don't know what he'll do with himself now though!

It’s definitely got promise 👍
I suspect it’ll develop faster than we think.

When I saw the words Uncanny Mess, I was slightly apprehensive but actually as a first shot, it was'nt that bad. Given time and more stills and reference items this could be quite an interesting foray into something new.

Given time and more stills and reference items this could be quite an interesting foray into something new. If this is what one individual has managed to produce, in a short amount of time, just feeding in minimal information a few months after the AI craze has hit, consider me very excited what a full team could achieve with dedicated time and resources. Personally, I'd say any money and time planned on being pumped into further animations should be redirected here. This feels like exactly the sort of thing the Disney relationship should be used for.

I would, though, love to see for reference exactly what has been fed in to produce this.

I always figured that many years (decades) away, that high quality video generated by computer would be indistinguishable from the original. But this seems to be starting to happen faster than I expected.
It does make you wonder, that if you could do this with telesnaps - what could you do by giving an entire 4:3 ropey B&W film copy and "simply" generating 16:9 colour HD imagery. Or even from early 1980s poor-quality video tapes.
At the rate this is going, they need to finish the Blu-ray collection of seasons - so they can start again on the 4K all-colour, all-episodes, version!

I tried one of those ai upscaling picture sites to upscale a telesnap.
In some instances, it was helpful. When you didn't have much to work with .
..Unfortunately several of the real pics, while resolution was added, it turned it more cartoonish making the original better.
Telesnaps in theory could work better as they have no grayscale
