Sadly the new E Wd 10 is correct, alot of the other stuff given to us earlier was incomplete partial scenes, not whole shows and when pieced together the total falls.

That isn't good news at all. That must mean that there is a very small number of existing complete editions. Though there might be some good material in the incomplete sections. Thanks for clarifying this.

Exactly what I was going to say Martin, according to the copyright holders that sequence is from Big Night Out. The Blackpool Big Night Out edition remains to be found. c Just to refer you to my more detailed reply to your other postings (in the thread on Kal guides), Chris, all of The Beatles footage from the 1/8/65 "Blackpool Night Out" and most from the 29/2/64 "Big Night Out" - including intros / sketches etc. - definitely exists as much of it was used in The Beatles "Anthology" series (I also have the full performances with opening / closing titles, proving their existence).

Rumbers.
Are your contacts aware of the AR production Cliff and the Shadows tenth birthday programme? if it still exists?
'ten years fellas-ten years' I think its called . Has a scene which shows what they would look like in the future - could be quite novel today?

Ive got the big night out seq's was well.. what i think happened is some beatles fan (in the US?) got hold of the prog's and just Cut the beatles out of it and reassembled thier own print.. I Always thoutght the 7 arts titles in front and the Insert Commercial Here parts were for a US broadcaster NOT an Aussie one. 7 arts I thought were amerivan and Not austrialan.. just a thought.

Ah, it's U.S. is it? Wasn't sure, hence the question mark. The logo itself looked a bit like the Australian channel "7" one to me (as you get on "Neighbours" etc.), which was why I wondered. Mind you, the broadcast standard VT of that TYLS Merseybeat special was found down under, wasn't it? Maybe there is a connection there that bought U.K. ABC shows? Worth looking at.

Yes, look at the ABC prints of the first season of "The Avengers" that were recovered from California. That speaks for itself that this may not be such a far fetched idea. It is possible that other us broadcasters or institutions were also given rare viewing prints ? But that is a big if, who really knows for sure. I will look into the possibility.

When will ITV announce thier findings for Raiders Of The Lost Archive ? I remember it was said that it would be on a TV series. But I would think they would want to raise interrest and tell everyone what has been recovered so far. I might be clutching at straws, so please bear with me as I have no idea. Any intelligent comments would be appreciated.
Cheers, Lance.

The answer to that Lance.... is when the Executive Producer of the project says so. Once the programmes are made, and transmitting, there will be a full list published. I am not allowed to say what has been found in the past 12 months, but the list is very impressive suffice to say, and will be listed ion detail once we are told we can. Also, as well as the stuff re-shown by ITV, additional stuff will be screened by the BFI at Missing Believed Wiped and by us, so the public should get the chance to see a wide range of what is recovered. www.kaleidoscope.org.ukwww.kaleidoscopepublishing.co.ukc

Very interesting, Chris! Looking forward to seeing a full list of recovered material here as and when. Just proves my point though that there is no end to the amount of missing material out there if you know where to look!
