The original TARDIS control room interior doors were on screen from 1963 - 1989
I think I read they were junked before Season 26 went into production.
Does anyone actually know exactly how they were junked? And where?

I will ask my Algerian fish fryer when I get my Friday fish n chips, but it's unlikely he will have seen them. Sorry that's all I can offer.
What's the rumour then? Missing film cans in the roundels?

What does this have to do with missing episodes? It’s a bit of fun and an opportunity for some terrible jokes and awful puns. This MB has always been reasonably tolerant which is why so many of us love it 👍

What's the rumour then? Missing film cans in the roundels? That sounds a bit... unhinged? The rumour is that they have been retrieved yet the missing episode reels have melted into the roundels. Next question is whether they should destroy the roundels to cut out the melted film's for x-ray scanning

What does this have to do with missing episodes? Hmmmm everything... Starting with that the metal doors and roundeled flat wall in question appears in almost or all every single missing episode that features the interior of the TARDIS Seriously tho if they were made of metal then surely they would not have been skipped but gone thru a scrap metal merchant and maybe they would have recognised them and saved them.obviously a long shot but you'd need to find the name of the scrap merchant and if they are alive or relatives and speak to them. There is a similar thing with the missing episodes I vaguely recall regards to the disposal of reels in the 70s . I do not know if this was a rumour but I think it involved the source of Evil of the Daleks episode 2 and an episode of The Faceless Ones being bought at a car boot sale and how these came to be there

I know a replica of the doors and wall was made for panopticon 93

Il be honest I enjoy the tolerant nature of this message board too and actually I would quite like to know the answer to if anyone knows. Part of me hopes they are the elaborate entrance to someone's man cave....partly because I bloody wish they were to mine lol

I do believe that they probably were destroyed maybe even skipped it's just so strange that JNT didn't try and save them unless it was by accident or something???
I just wondered if there was slightly more backstory to this or if someone like Matt Irvine would know.
Someone online mentioned how JNT gave them the old hat stand from the TARDIS. I guess not many people would have storage facility.
Would be ironic to find the TARDIS doors huge wall in a junkyard.
They made the replica for Panopticon because the original was gone.

they are the elaborate entrance to someone's man cave... That would tie in nicely with An Unearthly Child (the tribe of prehistoric man I mean).
