who remembers the early 1990's powercuts - caused by snow; snow used to be popular when i was a kid not like this modern rain nonsense
my query is as we had mainstream BBC-1 national feed interupted periodically with local news 'reports' [when did they stop being 'news flashes'?] did anyone tape these direct off tv? as they were local AND live would these be on tape 'as broadcast'?
also o/t what was the bbc-2 episode of 'steptoe and son' that was interrupted when the Queen Mother died? bbc-2 showed 5 mins before cutting to ultra rare osg. before bbc television news started on bbc-2
thanks for help again!

The "Steptoe" episode showing on the day the QM died (30/3/02) was "Men of Letters", of which 7'03" was shown before it was faded out, at around 5.48pm (on BBC2). BBC1 was showing a repeat of "Auntie's Bloomers" which was faded out slightly later, around 5.52pm.
