I think this was a one-hit wonder ? I had forgotten it as does not seem to get much air time anymore but thought this TOTP performance was charming and now remember what a great track it was.

Totally agree Peter a really good song she did have another hit the Betty Everett number "It's in his kiss" in 1975 which I also liked I have "Rock a doodle doo and "It's in his kiss" plus one of her albums on the Raft label in my record collection.

A great song, Peter.. as was "Sideway Shuffle" the following year. A very underrated singer, Linda. Sadly most radio stations now have a set list of 'oldies' that they play.. for instance, a visitor from another planet might think that the Kinks only ever had four hits - "You Really Got Me", "Days", "Waterloo Sunset" and "Lola", because they're the only ones that get any airtime.

The clip is one of those from the PVL collection.
It has also been released on a DVD compilation.
