Just stumbled across a YT channel from the archive holders of Austria's 'Spotlight' tv pop show. Some fun stuff on here filmed in London, including plenty of regulation late 60s 'horsing around' for the camera.
Here are Love Affair performing the excellent One Road, quite literally on, er, one road:
There is also a slightly awkward interview with the band at Madam Tussaud's:
and more 1969 clips including a great one of obscure UK band Strawberry Jam performing their song 'Per-son-al-ly'

Thanks for the link, not come across this channel on youtube. Their archive has a lot of performances from the 70's though not all to my taste in music. It's interesting to see that more material is being added to youtube. U2's channel has promo videos unreleased on DVD on youtube plus not repeated on BBC4 'Top of the Pops' performances. The Rolling Stones channel has many promo videos in HD. Some of The Jam's promo videos have been upgraded to HD. It looks like the days of low res videos on youtube is being overhauled.

Wonderful stuff! I've just sent the links to Steve Ellis. I think this is the only period interview (such as it is) I've ever seen with Love Affair.
Great that you've sent the links to Steve, Peter. I'd be amazed if he remembers any of it, but do let us know if you get any feedback from him. I've always thought 'One Road' was a very underrated single.

Steve He thanked me, but he also said he'd already seen these some time ago. I certainly can't recall seeing another contemporary interview with Steve and/or the band! |

Thought 'One Road' was underrated too.
PS . Looks like the Totps youtube channel BAT has been taken down as we expected here.
The Moral is probably to make the most of stuff while it is around.

I sent on the clips to Morgan Fisher. Here's his response..
"Thanks a lot Thomas! Apart from a vague memory of going to Madame Tussaud's, I have zero memory of shooting these. Will pass these on to other band members. Wonder why they are so messily edited... Cheers and happy new year!"
