Running some 48 pages in itself, the unexpurgated interview us broken down by subject heading, is annotated throughout for context and fully indexed.
In his trademarked freewheeling style, with Brian’s sense of humour shining through, numerous subjects are covered from the screenwriter’s view on how Shakespeare constructed his narratives through to adventures in a hayloft with Kelly McGillis via personal events like sharing a Guinness with Max Wall in Brighton on tour. References and reminiscences as to most of Brian’s major television and film work and many people he worked with, including fellow scribes Dennis Spooner and Terry Nation and composer Laurie Johnson, are also highlighted.
