Absolutely brilliant. Roy Wood / Wizzard were my favourite act(s) back then. What a survival!!

I wonder if this was actually a rehearsal for the 17th January 1974 show as he played guitar on the 20th December 1973 show. His hair was 'droopy' on that show and it's greased back on this rehearsal clip.

Sadly not a fashionable view point in some quarters these days, but wasnt the early 70’s a wonderful time to be a kid? Absolutely loved the all pervasive music and the associated culture, Radio Northsea International, Caroline & Luxy and the visual treat of TOTP every week. So desperately sad that so many of the glam period editions have been wiped.

His hair was 'droopy' on that show and it's greased back on this rehearsal clip. I'm informed via the Popscene TOTP forum that this rehearsal is tagged on the end of the surviving uncut 20th December 1973 tape, so I guess it must be from the same show. I always thought this would've made a great song for The Beach Boys (I can almost hear Carl Wilson singing it!).
