Any way of checking a programme is in the Tyne Tees archive? My sister has a VHS of a religious discussion series called 'Keep Taking the Tablets' circa 1980.

Tyne Tees programmes are listed on the ITN Archive.
They were deleting programmes as late as 1982.
I know "Friday Live" is quite badly off archive wise, so much so they asked the public for home recordings of it in 1994... I don't know if anyone sent any tapes in.

That's sad news. I remember a very funny Friday Live when they had Sandy Powell as a guest. I can't understand how anyone would decide to junk shows that were full of guests like that. They obviously have value for the future.
I have a couple of short clips of Friday Live from 1981.Two bits of Northern Life, some Tyne Tees continuity. Unfortunately, at £10 a three hour tape I couldn't afford to keep much in those days.
Thanks for the tip about the ITN Archive. There is a lot I couldn't find in there. I wonder how complete the database is?
For example: no Friday Live at all and only one Northern Life (local news).
I looked up this programme which I have on tape and there is no sign at ITN:
About Britain: Jimmy Forsythe, 06 09 88
This is a film documentary about a Newcastle photographer made by Tyne Tees.
