Well, if it is not too much trouble could you make a list? Without a name no-one can tell.
V2000 tapes were double-sided tapes otherwise more or less the same size as a VHS tape. They were only around in the eighties.
As for the audio: I am not the expert here, but audio is better then nothing.

Mmm, I think not networked sports coverage (which possibly (probably?) went out live) from the 1960s certainly has a good chance of not being in the archives! Hang on to it' I'd say.
As for the VHS tapes, always a small chance there is something on them that isn't in the archives, but it *is* a small chance. An easy way to check out at least any fiction could be to control whether it has been released on dvd - a lot of it has. Failing that, I suppose you'd have to list it here, plenty of people who'll be able to tell what exists and what doesn't.
From a recent discussion (maybe here?) I remember that apparently not all daytime TV output is kept - then again, you can bet on it the people who appear in such programmes (think of all the interviewees) will have a copy. I'm pretty sure that these days *everything* gets recorded, even though a small amount of programmes maybe isn't kept in the official archives.

thanks koen, as i said i'm new to this - been checking out some old tapes and remember the bbc show about old programmes, some of which i have heard of some my parents tell me about!
One thing that intested me my parents went on holiday and met a couple the bloke of which claimed he had recorded all bbc comedy in the early 70's onto tape using one of the first video recorders made by sony. my dad asked if he could have ciopies of dads army, his fave, - he basically told him to clear off saying they were rare and he didn't do copies 'at any price' are there lots like him?

Unfortunately you need not only a recording but also someone who realises it is rare AND who is willing to return it somehow. Most people wouldn't blink before throwing out old videotapes. Some people in general don't share something when they learn it has value.
I read the NASA story too. That was one case in which a missing episode could make headlines. They have low-quality copies, but apparently the master tapes were nowhere to be found. But they weren't junked either.
