I hope this is allowed. I have just put a Shibaden SV 610 D Video Tape Recorder for auction on ebay. Item Number 130016719817.It has one reel of tape with it. I bought it from a car boot and have no idea what's on the tape. I have also listed some 16mm home movie footage as well. Don't know what's on that either. Mike

I don't know who you are, but you certainly have got my back up. I have been posting on this board and the previous one since they started. I haven't been able to post for the last year or so because Pipex has been blocked. And i now have to get a new sign in name. So just were have I said this is missing TV footage. and do you really expect a Shibaden to work after 30 years. And If you think it's easy to find a 16mm projector in Liverpool try it yourself. I posted this because I didn't want anyone on this board who collects Shibaden's to miss out, Not for some shady money making scam.

Ilookin: I don't see any problem with Mike's posting -- he never made any representations about what was on the tape.... As for the films, he said they were home movies, not missing TV shows. Plus he has very good ebay feedback -- I don't see why you are attacking him. Mike: 16mm Projectors are easy to find ... If you post on one of the film collector forums (www.efilmforum.com or www.16mmfilmtalk.com or 8mmforum.film-tech.com ) someone there in your area could probably help you out with a projector to check out the films you have to see what's on them.

True Ilookin,
However there is also the fact that vintage video footage and equipment is of interrest to a number of people on boards such as this. It is like posting a add for a vintage MG convertable on a collectable cars discussion site. True this is not a classifieds site, then why didn't you get mad when you saw battle of wits for sale on ebay posted on this site ? They were selling something here too. Or the product page on this site for missing related materials. All I ask, is try to keep an open mind, and look at both sides of the fence on this issue. Puls, that old Shibaden decl looks way cool. I wonder if it is in working order ?
Lance.

I have been posting on this board and the previous one since they started. I haven't been able to post for the last year or so because Pipex has been blocked. Well I belong to Pipex, and have frequented these boards on and off without any problem whatsoever. Pipex being blocked here is news to me...

Pipex has never been banned, however I get a lot of mail from people saying they can't use the board and all of them use pipex, we've never found out why this is.

Strange how my posts were removed, guess i wasnt qualified to make an honest comment, however my opinion remains the same, this should be a forum for missing episodes not a money making excercise.
