I don't know how new this is, but it's the first time I've come across a YouTube channel chocabloc with videos from Cliff Richard's early days onward. Although I liked some of his early stuff with the Shadows, I can't honestly say his music does much for me; but you have to admire a guy who has successfully made music for 63 years!

I'm assuming you're referring to Cliff's official youtube channel (you didn't post a link!).

Yes, I am. I don't know how long this has been up, but it's good to have some of the early sixties stuff there. I imagine this is internet heaven for his fans.

I already had most of it (albeit often in ropey quality with timecodes), but there have been a few real surprises such as this:

They're on one of my lists of "finds", either 2019's or 2020's (which still isn't published yet, I know....)

Remarkable how the puppets were able to copy Cliff and co. so closely!

It seems where artists and tv companies were once reluctant to have their videos on youtube, some are now embracing the site. There's a lot of footage appearing from the Dutch show Top Pop each week, it's a pity there isn't more footage from UK TV companies especially from shows that are no longer broadcast.

I haven't watched it myself, but apparently there's four extra test footage pieces of "Shooting Star", with the camera concentrating on one member in each.

Cliff in Scotland special April 69 filmed in stereotype If I didn't know any better, I'd say that had been digitally colourised! I am aware that this was Cliff's first colour TV special though. Very weird skin tones, I'm guessing due to the technology used.

They were often paranoiac in those days about anybody 'glowing' due to the intense lighting causing people to sweat during energetic routines so maybe why faces look a bit flat. Make up check LOL....Cliff on ATV's 'The Big Show' 6/68

Great channel- really nice to see clips from It's Cliff Richard 31.1.70 in good quality. One show missing from the lists is Cliff's 1967 ATV Spectacular. I wonder if there's a better copy than this around? www.youtube.com/watch?v=o00P0EeRAZUSteve

I also wonder if there is any more footage from the 1964 NME Poll Winners Concert:

Actually it was just a one-off special. Cliff never had his own TV series in 1967: he'd last had a short 3-part series in 1965, and apart from 1969's 'Life with Johnny' (religious programmes) he wouldn't have his own series again until 1970.
