What is the status of this late 50s early 60 Childrens TV series?
Thanks in advance

Out of the three series (I remember watching the first two series (1959 and 1961, if I remember correctly) only one programme has survived. This is assuming others haven't turned up, of course.

No, but I had heard that the surviving episode had been shown several years ago, at the N.F.T. in London.

Yes it was part of a series at NFT called Popular Television from the 50's abd 60's.
The episode was "The Outcast" txd 30.1.60. this was shown at the NFT from video not the film recording.
The rest if the NFT program was a 16mm extract from Sir Lancelot (Knights Choice), a 35mm colour episode "Double Identity" various Crackerjack excerpts and a Fireball XL5 episode B&W (35mm) "Prisoner of the lost Planet"
Good job I kept my program notes and had noted on them how they were projected.

Just read my last post and had put that wrongly. The Gary Haliday was shown from video that was a telecine of the film recording. It seems the BBC doesn't allow master copies out to the NFT, just the Restoration Team.
