Ever since the original BBC broadcast in 1975 of 'Cracked Actor - A Film about David Bowie', I've always assumed that all the LA concert footage shot by the film crew, baring a few trims, were shown in the documentary. I just thought that they had shot several songs to edit into the finished programme.
Well, apparently, most of the concert was actually shot but the film has since been lost.
Is it too much to hope that by 'lost', it has just been mislaid or misfiled and is just waiting to be found in some corner of the BBC archive?
