Freddie and The Dreamers guitarist Derek Quinn passed away recently, so as a tribute here's a fun performance from the original group's later years:

Excellent! Which country does 'Showtime' hail from?
Hope and Keen's Crazy House seems to have had a couple of other pop guests; Pickettywitch and Butterscotch, although some weeks appear to be novelty music acts- Alistair McDonald's Barnsticks anyone? I'm pretty sure there was a complete edition on Youtube some time ago but I can't seem to locate it now.
It's a bit confusing trying to establish the tx dates of Crazy House. I thought there was a series in 1970 but BBC Genome only list a solitary show on 20/8/70, then a series in July/August 1971.
TV Brian seems to class the 1971 shows as 'series 1' so was the 1970 show a one-off?
HOPE AND KEEN'S CRAZY HOUSE Series 1
28.07.1971 Episode No. 4 (missing) 04.08.1971 Episode No. 5 (missing) 11.08.1971 Episode No. 6 (missing)
The series became 'Hope & Keen's Crazy Bus' in 1972, with no pop acts featured as far as I can see.

It's a US broadcast (alternate edit?) of the UK's 'The Big Show', both from summer 1968: ctva.biz/UK/ITC/Showtime.htmThe Dave Clark Five's performance of 'Everybody Knows' from the same show is here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvghngtgeOwHope and Keen's Crazy House seems to have had a couple of other pop guests; Pickettywitch and Butterscotch, although some weeks appear to be novelty music acts- Alistair McDonald's Barnsticks anyone? I missed it, but a friend saved the Freddie and The Dreamers segment (only) and sent it to me. Must confess, until yesterday I'd never even heard of the show (there are around 200 entries for Freddie and The Dreamers in 'Channelling The Beat!' but this isn't one of them!).
