networkonair.com/coming-soon/3244-hullabaloo-the-complete-seriesMassively influential but now almost completely forgotten, this early '60s music show featured the cream of British Folk and Blues – as well as some highly important foreign artistes. Hosted by musician, poet, sculptor and all-round polymath Rory McEwen, Hullabaloo was a key part of the early '60s Folk boom, with guests recorded live in front of an invited audience as ABC's Teddington Lock studios. Featuring home-grown talent in the shape of Martin Carthy, The Clancy Brothers, Isla Cameron, Tommy Makem, The Spinners, Long John Baldry, Davey Graham, The Ian Campbell Folk Group, Bob Davenport and Rory's brother Alex, the series also showcased early British appearances from Carolyn Hester, Bill Clifton, Peter, Paul & Mary, Ramblin' Jack Elliott, Sonny Boy Williamson and Esther & Abi Ofarim.

It's probably "forgotten" because, although recorded it London, it was never actually broadcast in the London region! The only mention I can find of "Hullabaloo" in the TV Times is a three times a week kids show that aired between April and July 1968 on Rediffusion - all 51 episodes of which are missing according to TV Brain...

Ah, but only London counts!
Seriously, shame about this. Obviously not a lot of impact in Liverpool.
